Going to a repair centre would be pretty expensive, so I plan to buy a new keyboard and replace it myself. Does anyone know where I can find instructions on disassembling the laptop? I'd rather not go in blind. I can't find anything on Samsung's website.
Many thanks!

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=samsung+parts+phone+number finds phone numbers and what looks to be a distributor.

Go to Google and search for a repair/service manual for the model number of your laptop.

Thanks for your help, guys.
However, it appears that it's impossible to replace only the keyboard. You have to place the whole upper part of the machine, including the touchpad. 120-130 including labour. It's complicated work and you have to remove the MB and just about all the components, detach the section from the hinges, etc. Laptops are just too fiddly and I'm going to leave this one to the professionals.

It was for some Asus gamer laptop. It has the backlight option so maybe a bit more for that. The lowest price I had was 49.99 for some netbook. That was no bargain either.
