warning message

Occasionally I will get the following message when I click on a link or type in a search.
"When you send information to the internet, it might be possible for others to see that information. Do you want to continue?"
The message is from internet explorer and it has happened numerous times. It makes me think my connection is not secure, even though my internet provider says it is. What do you think?
Should I be concerned?

like 99% of all pages. Ofttimes when you go to a secure page like a bank or such, take note of the "http" in the address. If it says "https" then the page is "secure" or encrypted. If you are on such a page (https) and you click a link to a non-secure page (http), IE is telling you you are leaving the secure page and that little blurb is correct.

Concerned? No. Cautious? Yes. Just practice safe surfing. And remember this. There is no such thing as a perfectly secure connection. But if the "s" is there it's as good as it can get.

But it doesn't happen when I'm transitioning between secured & unsecured pages. For example, I log on to internet, type in a topic in the search box or click one of the topics that drops down as I type. Right after i hit enter, the warning message will appear.
